This outstanding and rare tea trolley is probably the most iconic piece designed by Jorge Zalszupin and made in his own company L’Atelier in Brazil in 1959. The Carrinho de Chá or tea trolley dates back to 1959 and is considered a timeless classic among collectors. The trolley can be moved freely and is made of different materials: a solid iron frame painted black supports a large, origami-style shelf. Another shelf, carved from solid jacaranda rosewood, is located on top and serves as a removable serving tray that can be used on both sides. Two rather large but open brass wheels are located at the bottom and are a great distinguishing feature as the solid brass draws attention. A subtle stand with a small rotating wheel and a solid wooden handle perfectly matches the minimalist approach and feel.
